Throughout the year, the Casual Union of Working Poets gathers in live sessions which create a gentle but consistent rhythm—a reminder that poetry belongs within the weave of ordinary life. We come together to write new work, to think deeply about poems, and to stay connected to the creative pulse that brought us here in the first place. This program exists to encourage an ongoing practice and union members participate as they are able, with many returning year after year because the collective spirit sustains their attention, energy, and delight in making poems.
